We offer friendly, smoke-free accommodation in our home.
We are originally from Taunton,Somerset, (UK) but have lived in New Zealand for 17 years, most of that time in this area. Jerry is a gardener for work and pleasure and Ruth a Registered Nurse. Our interests include walking,cooking, gardening, travelling, genealogy and the internet.

The Green House B&B offers a separate guest floor with 2-3 rooms...
1 queen bedded room with en-suite ($NZ 140), sleeps 2 adults
(can add cot or child bed).
1 queen bedded room with small lounge (can accommodate an extra bed if required) and separate, bathroom facilities (NOT shared!) ($NZ140),We can accommodate 3-4 adults travelling together or a family in these rooms, please email your requirements and we'll work out a solution, hopefully!!
Please note that we have a multi-levelled house and there are some stairs to negotiate!
We are happy to provide transport to and from the airport or buses.
Our home is set amongst mature trees with plenty of native birds to be heard and even the odd possum sighting!
If you would like us to arrange a Wine tour or a 'Friendly Kiwi' sightseeing tour, etc, we are happy to do so, just ask!!

Devastated by an earthquake in 1931, Napier was rebuilt in Art Deco style and many of the original buildings have been recently restored to their original state, making theArt Deco Walk a must do visitor attraction..
Tours to the gannet colony at Cape Kidnappers, one of only 2
on-shore colonies in New Zealand, is a popular trip (from October to April), especially on old tractors and trailers along the beach!

Hawkes Bay is also famous for it's 60+ Vineyards
(A Wine Tour is a great way to spend half a day) and recently Olive trees have been planted, making Olive oil a welcome addition to our bountiful fruit and vegetable production.
Hawkes Bay is justifiably known as The Fruit Bowl of New Zealand.
I use local and organic produce as much as possible in our kitchen.
There is a wide variety of cafes and restaurants within walking distance and the beach is only a few minutes away.
